REVIEWS:

“My whole life I’ve dreamed of fighting alongside great heroes. With Rise of Tyrants, I can finally live out my dream! Although I’m not really fighting next to them...more “in front” of them...like, literally in front of them...but the bullet holes are worth it so I can be part of this magnificent army!”
-Riot Trooper, Human-Meat-Shield

Pros and cons of Rise of Tyrants app for iPhone and iPad

Rise of Tyrants app good for

This is a great game, love to play and upgrade my stuff. However on my iPad2 after about 5-8 min. it bombs out every session. Please fix (dont tell me I need a new iPad). Thanks
So the game started out fun with interesting characters and dialogue. Reached the end of content pretty quick. But there was still pvp and the practice against the Tundrans appearing every now and again. I cant really recall when it started but they decided to seriously rebalance the game. Changed the number of units allowed for attack and defence, got rid of the Tundrans that parachuted in, unit experience from practice and pvp was eliminated and levelling up became resource based. Ok. I get it, sometimes games change stuff over time. Got used to the new way and wham, they did it again - not a tweak, but major changes again. There have been at least 3 major updates and more smaller tweaks. They bumped up your units, gave you more and levelled up your buildings at certain points to smooth the transition but the net of the changes is that the game is far less enjoyable and is now definitely skewed far more towards a pay to play model. In particular, the last change made pvp heavily in favour of the defender and changed the resource model so that you have more gold and wood then you know what to do with and it will take forever to build the necessary supply of stone and iron. The build costs also changed to require more of stone and iron so without nanocite youll be waiting a long time between upgrades. Anyway, fun game but recent changes clearly intended to generate more revenue have made it a tough sell.
This game is so fun you get to attack other bases not like clash of clans you get a range of where you attack
I liked this from the start because of battle nations, but this updated version plays much better and looks fantastic
Fun game, lots of multiplayer battles, base building, alliances to help you out and make friends. Great strategic gameplay. Very enjoyable.
Iphone 6s 64g and still slow... Didnt even use half of my storage yet so thats not the problem

Some bad moments

As many have now gone through the recent change pushed the story back quite a bit and then the quest after having to save your soldiers lives in the pass, the quest following has a bug where only the hero is deployable while other troops are un deployable as such the story just ends there.
So king bought out a company called Z2 games and decided to stop working on it completely the characters are just thin weak versions of the battle nations characters the gameplay is exact ally the same and he smoothness and love put into it is not near the amount in battle nations to tryout battle nations and youll see the similarity battle nations needs more attention and it can become even better Ive played he game for 3 years and I would love to play it more but the attention to the game and community is so weak its not enjoyable anymore please go play battle nations and bring it back from the dead.
This is a game that was created by z2 games and bought out by King. King then killed off "Battle nations" (the first name) abandoning the people who spent thousands of dollars on it. A year later "Rise of Tyrants" is released using the same base "Battle nations" used. They couldnt even change the name or look of most units and buildings. They did make a few small changes but its not enough to call it their own. King, "Rise of Tyrants" will never make the millions "Battle nations" did.
This game had a lot of potential. Unfortunately the developers have chosen to make every aspect of the game cost money to be competitive. If you played Battle Nations, you will be disappointed in this game. Fancy graphics try to hide a poorly thought out game and crappy customer service.
This is a turn-based game with an interesting turn-order feature that makes player-vs-player (PVP) battles challenging. However, the seriously flawed PVP-matching system can result in highly lopsided battles that create frustration. This issue is unresolved during beta testing. Certain resources to make your troops stronger ( important ones available via PVP ) are scarce, making progress slow and frustration high. All these in order to get you to spend more money for in-game purchases that are very costly. Hint: it is a vicious cycle.
The economy and matchmaking in this game are awful. Basically unplayable. Fire the designers who worked on that.
